MIRAMARE

A journey along the Ligurian coast to rediscover how architecture and urban planning have responded since the years of the economic boom to the growing demand for leisure spaces. Sixty years after the renowned issues of Casabella and the XIII Triennale on leisure, this project reopens the discussion on collective living, the transformation of the coastal landscape, and the legacy of holiday architecture. It’s not only a documentation effort, but a form of inquiry that invites reflection on how we experience free time today and what role architecture might still play in shaping the desire for vacation.
